11 international mountaineering expeditions were blocked on the base camp of Mt. Cho Oyu because of the heavy snowfall from April 17 to 18.

Part members of expeditions are waiting in over tents for the better weather.

Continuous heavy snow fell in Cho Oyu mountainous area within over half a month according to Dorje, general contactor on Mt. Cho Oyu of Tibet Mountaineering Association.

Told by Dorje, more than 80 climbers in 11 expeditions from America, Germany, Spain, Norway, Korea and Japan came to climb Mt. Cho Oyu. 7 mountaineering teams have stepped on the advanced base camp (5,400 meters above sea level) and camp one (6,100 meters above sea level).

An assistant team of Tibet Mountaineering Association went to the base camp of Mt.Shisha Pangma. Fortunately, only little snowflake flied over. General contactor Dainzin said that, Mt.Shisha Pangma climb started April 9. Only 2 expeditions arrived in advanced base camp (5,600 meters above sea level) among total 7 expeditions from Span, Australia, Japan and other countries and areas.
