Situated at an altitude of 3700 meters, a grand viaduct bridge over Lhasa River is well under construction. The project has completed 95 per cent of the total and is expected to open to traffic at mid May.

With a full length of 928,85 meter and maximum span of 108 meter, the Lhasa River bridge proves the symbol project in the entire Qinghai-Tibet railway building, which will be put into trial operation from July 1, 2006.
